The 4 & 5 star ratings are from the OLD VERSION, NOT THIS ONE (common developer trick). Those thinking this is "awesome" or "excellent" must be employees or friends of employees of this app. My old version has been removed and I CANNOT EVEN OPEN THE NEW APP! It says "authentication error"? Really? Ive had it for years! PLEASE do not tell me I have lost all my journal notes before having a chance to move them all. That is all I need to do before I can finally delete it. Please allow me to do at least that. This is pathetic. PRIOR REVIEW 11.11.16 - TACKY AND JUST BAD. ZERO stars. Readers – DO NOT BE FOOLED by the high ratings for “All Versions”. Those are for PRIOR to 2015. Take a stroll thru the recent and extremely high volume of one-star ratings. Thought I’d check out the app once more to see if the developers got the hint – but no, they didn’t. As with many apps, I’m sure this was designed to be easier for the developers, not the customers. That never ends well. Customers always get shafted. And they want us to pay for “premium”? LOL!!!! Surely they jest! This version needs to be trashed and the old version restored and updated. Prior Review on 08.29.16: So Very Sad and Disappointing: I dont have a problem with change, but would prefer an actual UPgrade rather than DOWNgrade. As with many apps seem to be changing to benefit the programmers/developers rather than the customers. I will be copying all of my journal notes out of Glo Bible and deleting the app, and putting them into another far more sophisticated app.

I think this is one of the best thought out Bible app out there. It includes various commentaries, maps, historical anecdotes for whatever text youre reading. It is a simple interface, yet powerful. Bravo!

I love it! This is the only thing I have reviewed before, so you can tell I like it.

The updated version looks attractive and polished. There is a glaring flaw compared to the old version, however: the text is no longer linked to the commentaries. For example, if you touch a certain verse and have the ESV commentary open in the commentary bar on the bottom, it no longer jumps to that respective verse in the commentary. You have to scroll and find the verse yourself. That was such an obviously useful feature that no longer works. Bring that basic function back and youll have a great product again!

I enjoy the app itself. Easy to use and navigate. However.... Customer support is non-existent. I have been trying for several WEEKS to get a responsible need to a simple request. I have a new email address and Im not able to find. Way to update me email in my account. Thats all. Not a complaint or major issue. I simply want to update my email. I followed the instructions and submitted a help request. I received the form letter that says Im important and they have received me email. After a week with no response I logged in to find that the help request had been, "Deleted or resolved". Funny, my email hasnt changed in my account so it must be the deleted option. OK, mistakes happen. Request number 2. Same happening; deleted or resolved. Request number 3. Now, when I attempt to log on to see the status I receive an error message that I, "cant be authenticated". Not only do I still have my old email address on my account, but now, apparently, I do not exist. First the computer email tells me Im important, and now I dont exist. If anyone actually READS these reviews, maybe making this problem put local might return me to existence and MAYBE even to the status of, "Important" or, dare I hope, important enough to be allowed the privilege of updating my EMAIL ADDRESS!!! UPDATE APPARENTLY I HAVE TO CONTINUE TO SCREAMER TO BE HEARD. STILL NO RESPONSES FRO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. OCTOBER 29 STARTED THIS PROCESS. HERE WE ARE, NEARING A MONTH LATER AND STILL NO RESPONSE. I CANT LOG IN TO SEE THE STATUS OF MY REQUESTS, I CANT ACCESS MY ACCOUNT AT ALL, I CANT EVEN GET AN EMAIL ACKNOWLEDGING REQUESTS FOR HELP. YOU WOULDNT THINK THAT A SIMPLE CHANGE OF EMAIL ADDRESS WOULDN BE WORTH LITIGATION, BUT I GUESS, IF IT US THAT IMPORTANT FOR THE APP DEVELOPER TO KEEP MY OLD, UNUSABLE EMAIL ADDRESS, IT MUST REALLY BE VALUABLE TO THE COMPANY. MY ADVICE IS AVOID THIS APP AND THE COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. NO SUPPORT NO REPLIES NO HELP AT ALL. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!

I finally updated my apps, and while I dont mind the new look and layout to this app, I dont have the translations I once did. I used to have the NIV, one I prefer to use and had gotten on promo a while ago, but now I have to pay $9 to get it back?? What a rip off! This is the Bible were talking about! Its not supposed to piss people off the way this new upgrade seems to be doing!

Waste of money. Used to be a half decent app, but it has gone downhill. Im also getting spam from companies that mention Glo bible. Wouldnt surprise me if they sell your contact info.

I have regretted to acquire this app. What it has done is fill my email with emails that I can not unsubscribe from because the links to unsubscribe are invalid. Not everybody is interested to receive emails just because they need a Bible to study from. Bad business especially from a ministry.

A purchase of your software is not permission to be placed on spam lists. I received two additional emails today and the unsubscribe links are dead. You apparently shared my email address with a company called "Ministry". Please stop this practice. Thank you.

Wasted my $50 as app crashed every time I tried to open it. Now getting unwanted marketing emails with non working unsubscribe links.

What the developer has done to existing users in not biblical. Its flat out wrong! We payed $50 for the premium version and have now lost everything!!!! Very disappointed.

So with this new version I have to repurchase?! I will continue to use the old version until its unusable...You just lost a customer I will be looking to purchase another Bible app from another developer.

I love the layout of this app. It needs some more work but its worth downloading.

11-19-16--I just downloaded the new version of Glo. It is much better than the previous update. However, I was wondering if you plan to bring back the atlas in the original version. Id even be willing to pay something for it. That was the most useful tool of any Bible study app I have--except, of course, for Gods Word. Thank you.

Ive always loved this app, and now the new version is even better! It looks amazing and includes so many cool resources.

Clean look, great performance, and amazing new features. Most full featured bible app out there and really thought through everything!!

I am really missing the ability to jump between translations when looking at a verse. This was great for doing bible study verse lookup. Oh you can still do it with a bunch of steps, but not as quick as the older version. I actually think this is a step down. That is one of the main reasons I use the app. For reading, I have a real book. For more in depth study, I have pocket bible. I get to use this for a year, but do not see myself paying for this app nor do I pay for any monthly use software.

I am sorry but I have to say the people giving this app 5 stars could not have seen the old version and layout. This new version Does not have The ability to have many upon many pages of the Bible open at the same time of which were very easy to scroll through. Does not have thumbnails of media relating to the current text, along the bottom of the screen which could be hidden if chosen to be hidden. My lengthy sermon notes are gone. After being told all my notes have been restored only the very first line of those notes are there. This new version is definitely a step way back. Some company should use the old layout as a template for the Bible. No doubt they would be boasted as the best bible app. I just cannot believe that the people at Glo truly feel this new user interface, which has been out a while now, is better than the old the old user interface. It is laughable...

I am really tired of all your changes!! I have had this app for years, loved it and recommended it! I purchased the "premium" as you called it years ago and enjoyed maps, tours, and videos. Now? What do I have? Im not sure, but after using it this first time, I am not happy! Guess Ill go back to using my Gateway app which is so very user friendly and straightforward! Unhappy Customer!
